Excellent Family Hotel
Good beach Hotel
We have family within walking distance of this hotel so we've stayed there for a number of years. The restaurant is great, the rooftop terrace also great. The hotel staff are perfect. We stay in an Executive King Room with a Panoramic view, and the view of the city from the 13th floor really is panoramic and wonderful. The room is large, the bathroom is large with two sinks, which we like. There is a mini-fridge in the room which is always welcome, and a coffee maker. The rooms have not been fixed up and updated in quite some time. Updating is sorely needed: the paint, carpet, furniture and lighting. There are cracked shelves and surfaces. The showers have those half-doors, so there is no way to prevent a large puddle from forming outside the shower. It is SO DARK in the room once the sun goes down! Ridiculously dark. We turned on the TV with no sound just to have more light. I had to use my cell phone flashlight to clearly see anything. I asked at the front desk for an additional lamp or to raise the level of light in the room but was told it's not possible. We opt in to pay for breakfast every day. The breakfast room is lovely. There are many choices with the buffet: cereal, yogurt, salads, many different breads and cheeses, eggs, sausage, etc. We enjoy the breakfast. You'd have to walk 10-15 minutes to have breakfast anywhere else. This hotel is in Rembrandtpark, which is a large park with bike paths, playground equipment and a petting zoo! It's not a tourist area. Just past the park - about a 15 minute or so walk - you reach restaurants, stores, supermarkets, and salons. The nicest part of the hotel is the lovely, upscale restaurant on the 17th floor. Good food and drinks, nice surroundings and the panoramic view of Amsterdam. Please guys, put a full door in the showers, fix up the rooms and get some more lights! It would help so much.
Highly recommend booking this hotel if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Amsterdam, that is away from the hustle and bustle but not a million miles away! My fiancée and I stayed here from 1st May for five nights and both of us loved the hotel, the location and the views from our room (Room 1528). All of the staff we met throughout our stay were lovely, friendly and welcoming, we did encounter one small issue whilst here which was our safe had stopped working but this was quickly resolved and an apology was issued, overall the room was lovely and big, we both slept brilliantly, there was plenty of space to store our clothes and belongings with a lovely sized bathroom and some beautiful views of Amsterdam. There is plenty of choice food wise for breakfast, with lots of fresh juices and hot teas and coffees available for all to use. During our stay, we pre-booked Floor 17 restaurant for one night and both me and my fiancée were very surprised with how lovely the food was (The steak was cooked to perfection) and the waiting staff on duty couldn’t do more for you. Location wise, it’s perfect as you’re based in Rembrandt Park which is a lovely park for a walk or a cycle, you’re around 15 minutes drive from the airport and you are a 4 minute walk to the tram stop which will take you directly into Amsterdam city centre in 13 minutes. (For reference we time this one day, from the hotel to the Anne Frank House it took us 24 minutes door to door). Thank you for all for a lovely stay we will be sure to return on our next trip to Amsterdam!
Stayed at the Leonardo hotel Rembrandt Park for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay, the location is great - quiet, peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but close enough to get to the centre in about 15/20 mins. Tram stop was 5/6 walk from hotel which was ideal. The hotel is surrounded by luscious greenery and trees as well as Rembrandt Park which is lovely for a walk/cycle. The staff on reception were really friendly and available 24/7. Our room was lovely - very modern looking. We were kindly upgraded to a queen size bed which was really comfortable and the room in general was very spacious and roomy - lots of storage and nice clean bathroom. There was also a streaming television available which was good as we were able to access streaming services such as Netflix/Youtube etc. The hotel has a “request for a room clean” service which means you need to make a request via a QR code if you would like your room cleaned/towels changed etc. As our stay was very short and we barely used the room during the daytime due to being out we didn’t request this service but the concept is good as it’s more eco friendly and less wasteful. Overall, the hotel has good facilities with nice helpful staff. All the guests we bumped into in lifts etc were friendly which generally added to the “all round good vibes”. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back to this hotel again if we are ever in Amsterdam. Highly recommended.
Always chose this hotel due to location and value for money . Stayed here over 5/6 times. Use to be a free shuttle service to the hotel and pay on return. This has now changed and we were not informed. Quilt cover was dirty on arrival , scanning the code for cleaning never worked . Tea /coffee and towels not replaced due to no cleaning. Informed reception again nothing happened. Arthur agreed for a refund however without checking the money was taken again and I still haven’t received the refund even though I have e mailed several occasions. I think this will be our last visit to the hotel and need to find a new “favourite” .
We booked a deluxe room for a 4 night, 5 day stay. The hotel do a airport shuttle service, we didn't know about it till we arrived at hotel, but handy to know and we used to return to airport on last day. From the outside the hotel looks like an office block, it nearly put me off booking, but inside is lovely with good facilities. Also you are right in Rembrandtpark, which is a bonus! It has lovely areas to go sit, and also a small petting zoo opposite the hotel. Our room was comfy, enough space and a great view from the sitting area at the window, we were delighted with the view, it was amazing both during the day then at night. Bed was super comfy and hotel had everything we needed. Coffee machine in room, however we just went to reception and bought tea/coffee when we wanted one or went upto floor 17 and had drinks/cocktails and a delicious meal. Didn't make it up for breakfast 🙈 just walk across the park and there is a wide variety of places you can get food and drinks. We didn't hear a peep when we were in our room. Not a sound it was great as nothing worse than hearing noise from hallways or other rooms. We were in Amsterdam for our 9th visit and again nothing disappointing about it. We went to a gig in the Gashouder, it was maybe a 10min ride in a bolt taxi. We usually use trams but this time had codes for bolt and used them most days, they were quick and reasonable and drivers always friendly. The restaurant on floor 17 is amazing with the most great views of Amsterdam. The staff are lovely and helpful and drinks were good. It was reasonably priced. You can also buy snacks (from pizza to chocolate) in reception area which has nice comfy seating areas. If you're going into the city at night the tram is literally outside the hotel. Just a tiny walk, takes maybe 10/15 mins to get to Central or Dam Square. Also if you miss last tram at night look at prices of bolt you can usually get one for about 15 Euro We have stayed in the centre of Amsterdam and loved it, but much prefer this area, having a beautiful park on the doorstep of hotel was fab and means you can sit and chill. Also should point out the rooftop bar, it looks amazing. Didn't get chance to enjoy it this visit, always a next time!! It is apparently the highest rooftop bar in Amsterdam. We liked this hotel so much we have rebooked for New Year and can't wait.
