Just avoid! We stayed for a night. The receptionists are lovely and polite. The room was a decent size, and we had nothing to complain about until the next morning. While brushing my teeth, I noticed something crawling on my shoulder—it was a bedbug. We found another one in the bed. We reported this to the hotel staff, providing photographic evidence upon check-out, yet received no apologies—only being asked for our room number. Regrettably, I experienced serious reactions from bedbug bites all over my body. I still have bite marks after a month. It is imperative that the hotel takes this matter seriously and implements new action to address the infestation.
Good hotel near the canal. The room was large with a bath and shower. The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. There were a few people waiting in reception. They offer a breakfast. I did not take up the offer. The area is busy with lots of people out in the cafes. It was very clean in the room on the sixth floor.
First visit, hopefully not the last.Nice little hotel, perhaps a bit dated but the location was perfect for trains ( Gare de Nord-20 minutes walk) and Metro, so great for getting about, plus the # 32 bus we used terminates at Gare de L'Est station, about 10 minutes from the hotel. Comfortable room, big enough for just the two of us. Free breakfast was OK, if a little basic, but was enough for us to start our day. For the price it was very good overall. Would stay again and recommend the hotel as a base.
I just stayed one night but the place was nice. The view from the room was so great. The metro station is not far from the hotel, that's cool if you want to visit the city or take a train (Gare de l'Est is near the hotel). The receptionist was so great and he even offered me a bottle of water when he saw me arrive exhausted !!
Stayed for two nights in what was booked as a twin but turned out to be a triple with my sister as part of a Eurostar package. We were on the 6th floor in a typically Parisian building. Small lift that took two people and our suitcases to room 603. Never heard another guest whilst we were there - but we did see them at breakfast! Room clean. Plenty of hot water in the en suite. Beds firm. Bedding crisp. Air con/adjustable heating in the room - we just opened the window as it was a mild weekend. Breakfast more than adequate with boiled eggs, fruit, bread, croissants, ham, cheese and yoghurts. Coffee drinkable. Reception happy to keep bags before check in and after checkout. Quiet residential area about 10-12 mins walk from Gare de Nord, closest Metro Gare d’Est about 6 mins. Small supermarket two doors down for bottles of water or wine or snacks. Some nice looking places to eat/drink - with locals not too many tourists. Would come back to the area.
