The hotel, food, service are all excellent and in true fashion of an Accor Group hotel. The rooms are very well appointed with breathtaking city skyline views. But the best part for me was the sweet surprise pastry presented by the retsaurant service team comprising Natty, Proud, Fern, Noon, Ice,The hotel, food, service are all excellent and in true fashion of an Accor Group hotel. The rooms are very well appointed with breathtaking city skyline views. Perfect Starting Point for Exploring

We changed hotels at the last minute to the Akyra and really enjoyed our stay. They even gave us a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon! Before coming to Chiang Mai we didn't know the areas very well, but the Akyra was situated perfectly for what we wanted. We were close enough for a quick ride or good walk into the old city while having an abundance of coffee shops, shopping, and restaurants around us. We were able to get laundry done, enjoyed the rooftop bar, and got a ride with Note from the hotel to the airport at the end of our stay. The rooms were quiet despite the hotel's prime location, and comfortable to stay in. It was a great spot to stay while exploring Chiang Mai!

A very stylish property in a happening part of the city with numerous bars and restaurants in the vicinity.

I felt however that the designer has gone a bit too far and in certain respects style has trumped practicality. Some examples. Due to the low level mood lighting in the bathroom I wouldn't recommend shaving after dark. Used towels live on the bathroom floor in the absence of anywhere to hang them. The very trendy light fittings in the (very nice) Italian restaurant are unfortunately at such a height that you are in serious danger of head butting yourself when moving around, whilst the avant garde circular feature in reception is more obstacle than objet d'art.
I would recommend avoiding the trips/excursions offered by the hotel. I recognise that hotels will look to take a turn on these but there is profit, and there is profiteering.
A basic return trip to Doi Suthep (no guided tour element) costs THB2,500 through the hotel. We used a metered taxi which waited for us for an hour before bringing us back and paid THB1,000. Worst of all was being charged THB1,500 for what was no more than three separate five minute tuktuk rides (again no guide element) to 3 of the main temples in town. I'm sure we could have arranged this ourselves for less than a third of that amount.
Our transfer to our next location (Chiang Khong), as organised by the hotel, whilst undertaken by an affable and capable driver was in an aged, noisy and not particularly comfortable vehicle, not at all becoming of a 5* SLH member. We weren't even offered a bottle of water for our 5/6 hour journey. I suspect however that the THB10,000 we were charged afforded the hotel with the biggest profit margin opportunity.
The hotel really needs to prioritise the guest experience over its P&L. We were attracted by the many positive reviews and eagerly anticipating our stay but in truth were left feeling somewhat underwhelmed.

All staff at the hotel are very friendly and provided great services. Ms.Pang, Ms. Goi, Mr. Noon, Mr. Note and Mr. Yatch make sure we are well taken care of in making arrangements for our site tours, our transportations, our reservations and even our way back to the airport. GreatAll staff at the hotel are very friendly and provided great services. Charming, boutique hotel in a good part of Chiang Mai

Akyra Manor is a charming boutique, luxury hotel in the heart of the Nimman area of Chiang Mai which is pleasant. The staff are excellent lead by the front office crew of Mr Tay, Ms Pang and Ms Goi who are hugely warm and accommodating people.

The hotel restaurant Italics is first class in every way and must be tried if you stay here.
The rooms are very clean and spacious.
The rooftop bar and pool has a lovely vibe in the evening.
All in all a first class hotel with little fault.

I was very stiff from ripping my glutes. Ploy was fantastic personalising some of the routine to improve my condition. We spent here nice and amazing holidays during 18 days Xmas and NY eve celebrating. The hotel has very convenient gym, amazing spa and activities (every night we have visited fire show, life music or DJ set here).
We can certainly recommend this hotel especially for family holidays.

Room was modern, Pool at the beach club was good. Location good - across the road from the beach and a short walk to restaurants. Its the employees that make the stay memorable.
