Spent three nights at this great city centre hotel. Excellent location, 5 minute walk from the tube station at Monastiraki square. 20 minutes walk to all the main sites in this excellent city. This is a well located 3 star hotel. It's clean, quiet and comfortable.

It is walking distance from the Monastiraki Metro (direct line from the airport), there are fresh fruit stalls opposite and a delightful Greek food outdoor restaurant a few metres away. Syntagma Square is walking distance away, but further than Monastiraki.
A buffet breakfast is included in the price and it has plenty of variety. We found all the staff extremely helpful.
The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location and it also has a residents-only rooftop bar with direct line of sight to the Acropolis. Stunning.

Perfect stay, great facilities and the rooftop bar is amazing!!! Rooms are clean and staff at reception was very helpful. The rooftop is so perfect for a quiet drink while watching the sunset. One of the good things was the restaurant next door, which offers budget-friendly meals that are perfect for a quick bite without breaking the bank. The hotel staff were very friendly and always willing to assist, which added a personal touch to our stay.
The breakfast at the hotel was a standout, it was a great way to start each day. The room itself was on the smaller side but cozy and well-equipped for a night or two.
One minor drawback was the area around the hotel entrance, where some shops selling pre-owned items gave a less polished impression. While this doesn’t impact the comfort or quality of the stay, it does affect the immediate aesthetics of the area.
Overall, Athens Center Square Hotel offers good value for money with its excellent location, helpful staff, and tasty breakfast. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy Athens while staying in a well-placed and friendly hotel.

For the price this boutique hotel is amazing. The view of the Caldera from our balcony was stunning. Breakfast served to your patio each morning. Water bottles in the fridge. Tea kettle with tea and coffee. Iron and ironing board. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Very walkable to restaurants.For the price this boutique hotel is amazing. Return to the Theoxenia.

We went to this hotel to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. This was our second visit to the Theoxenia and third to Santorini.
We chose to stay in one of their Caldera view rooms. It was very comfortable and was well worth the stair climb to get there.

Extraordinarily friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived, this was a fantastic experience. Spectacular views from the room balcony. Breakfast served was excellent. What a great hotel! Right in the middle of Fira on Santorini. The small almost secret entrance hides a hotel with fantastic rooms, wonderful staff, amazing views and great breakfast.

The advice and guidance of the team was so helpful, letting us the best and worst times to go to Oia (the well known part of the island) which gets overrun by tourists, and how to catch the busses to get to the beaches on the other side of the island.
Our stay here was a real highlight of our trip.

We don’t have high standards when it comes to hotels. We primarily come for the area, not the hotel or its facilities.
But this hotel really pushed our limits...

But this hotel really pushed our limits...
1. The breakfast is bad. Mushy and tasteless. After a couple of days, we were eating it reluctantly. Every day it's the same food, and some days it looks like it's the leftovers from the day before... which already looked like the leftover from the day before that.
2. The room is not cleaned properly. We slept on the same sheets for 6 days (no problem in general, but for a '4-star' hotel, it's a bad thing). After day 4, we asked at reception when they would be changed, and they said 'tomorrow'. The day after that, they said it again...
Room cleaning removed our hand soap one day, and when we went to reception to ask for a new one, they didn’t understand what 'hand soap' was and offered us 4 shower gels to wash our hands with. After doing that for a couple of days, and not getting a new one with room cleaning, we had to go to the reception again, finally getting a regular bar of hand soap.
After 4 days, we finally got new towels, but the old ones were not removed, even the ones already on the floor. Eventually, one towel on the floor started turning a bit brown because of the dirt (and maybe the leaking toilet, because yeah, that was also the case) and they would not take it when cleaning the room.
3. The overall state of the hotel, both inside the room and the entire terrain, is not good. It looks old and used. The inside of the room has mold marks, the 'rain' part of the shower doesn’t seem to work, there were water leaks due to the rainfall, we didn’t have warm water a couple of evenings, etc....
It’s not all bad, though:
The location of the hotel is good for sightseeing on the island, with lots of interesting things to do within an acceptable distance. The view from the hotel is great.
And, the hotel really has good potential. If it’s cleaner and better maintained, and the overall service is a bit better, it could really be a great location to stay.
Summarized: Don’t be fooled by the '4-star' rating. It’s maybe 2 by the looks of it.

We were a bit nervous after reading the reviews on this hotel however we were pleasantly surprised. We went for the all inclusive which was good along with the service. Bar and pool area lovely with stunning views. This is a quiet location with a couple of tavernas and a beautiful little beach , this suited us perfectly but if your after a party place this isn’t it. Location is hilly which wasn’t a problem for us , but maybe for those who are less mobile.
Bus stop outside hotel to enable you to visit corfu town and other places , cash only and no card, be warned buses are never on time and it’s not unusual to be 30 mins late but generally a good service.
Lovely holiday and would return .

Rundown , in desperate need of a refurbishment.
Unclean.
Staff unhappy and unapproachable , unable to acknowledge guests.
Bar left unattended , we walked to the shop it was quicker ! No branded drinks,
No entertainment , no information about amenities , day trips etc.

Pefkos Village Resort - definitely heaven on earth

This is our second time back to the Pefkos Village Resort and I can honestly say I have never had such a chilled out holiday in my life. Its a haven of peace. The town is 10 mins walk away and the bus stop is about 5 mins,This is our second time back to the Pefkos Village Resort and I can honestly say I have never had such a chilled out holiday in my life. Its a haven of peace. The town is 10 mins walk away and the bus stop is about 5 mins, so if you did want a bit of variety, its close enough to explore. I love that there are no clocks in the resort (well I didn't see one anyway), therefore time is of no issue. Just leisurely relaxing time.
Where do I start with the staff? The team at the resort were outstanding! Nothing was too much trouble for any of them and were available any time you needed them. No one was too pushy but all very very friendly
Andela on reception was a font of knowledge of the area and could tell you anything you needed to know. An asset to reception
Emile and Costas serving at breakfast were so helpful and chatty. Lovely boys ! A wonderful start to the day along with the amazing juice machine which crushed fresh oranges every morning!!
The evening staff, Demetrious and Ava felt like part of our family at the end of the holiday - such lovely, lovely people. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them,
We laughed every night with them - such a happy couple.
Happy staff reflect good management
The food throughout our stay was stunning and very plentiful! We booked half board and so glad we did as we were able to try Greek food every night if we wanted. The chef came out every night to make sure everyone enjoyed their food - which we did and interacted with the guests - she would even tweak the dishes slightly if you wanted something different with your meal. I feel a massive diet coming on as every mouthful was wonderful !!
If you didn't want to eat in the restaurant there was another menu to choose from which consisted a main and a side - burgers, pizza, club sandwiches etc along with sides of chips, onion rings tzatziki and breads etc and you could take this to your room if you had had an exhausting day of doing nothing !!
Another bonus of half board here is that if you wanted to go out exploring and wanted to eat in town at night , you could swap your evening meal and have it lunch time, so you didn't lose your half board status. I have never experienced this before and think it is a wonderful gesture by the hotel
The rooms are cleaned every day and the cleaners work very hard to ensure rooms are spick and span, beds made and towels are changed every 3 days, which is fine. Pool towels are available - 10 euros when you arrive, you can change them every day if you want and when you check out, take them back and 10 euros refunded. Win win situation and no wet towels to take home in your luggage
Vasily, the owner of the hotel, made a point of greeting all guests and sitting down and chatting to everyone, which is a lovely personal touch and much appreciated.
Above is my opinion and observations - If you lead a hectic life and are looking for a total R and R holiday, I would highly recommend Pefkos Village Resort, in my experience you will not be disappointed
We don't often return to the same hotel as the world is a big place, but there is something about this hotel that draws you back ..........We are definitely coming back next year . Well done to all in the Pefkos Village Resort - you have nailed it!!

Wow. I'm still here now, but I wanted to say how impressed we are with this lovely aparthotel. Small and relaxing, it's on the outskirts of Pefkos but a manageable walk to town. Small and relaxing, it's on the outskirts of Pefkos but a manageable walk to town. Slight hill up to the main road, but I'm not great on my feet and managed perfectly well. About 20 mins walk to town, but you pass a number of bars/restaurants on the way. There is no need to go out to eat, though, if you don't want to walk. The restaurant at the aparthotel is amazing. We had breakfast included and I have never seen so much choice, delicious too. Lunch is plentiful and great prices. For 4.5 euros you can have a mound of chips with cheese and bacon that would easily feed 2. In the evenings, the menu is good, portions enormous and quality amazing. Prices are the same as the ones in town. Staff are polite, Friendly and easy to banter with.
The apartments are clean, well equipped by greek standards and plenty big enough (we had a 1 bed apartment for 3 adults).
The nearest beach is about 10 min stroll, it's a lovely quiet beach with a few sunbeds and a taverna at the top of the hill (25m ish). There is a 'non organised' beach closer but its really just access to the sea via some rock's, ok for a morning swim though.
Back at the hotel, the pool is clean, fairly shallow and has plenty of sunbeds.
I can see why people return year after year, mainly due to its wonderful staff, great food and comfortable apartments.

We come back to Pefkos Village every year and I have to say this year was the best yet! The hotel is spotless, the grounds and pool are kept so well every day and the staff were amazing this year!

Dimitris and Ava on the evening shift made our nights! Again a breath of fresh air these two in the bar/restaurant at night, we loved these two so much. Amazing people and so friendly and helpful. 2 very valuable members of staff! Above and beyond!
We have booked to come back to Pefkos Village resort already for next year and I hope to see Dimitris and Ava there when we get there 💛

Staying here since 2010 ,cannot speake highly enough of this hotel.
The staff day and night this year are one of the best we have come across anywhere extrimally accommodating personable and friendly, the manger/,owner is very professional and friendly the chef is exceptional and produces high quality food always.theStaying here since 2010 ,cannot speake highly enough of this hotel.

The hotel is in a beautiful and peaceful location with easy access to the beach where beds and parasols are available free of charge. The grounds and rooms are immaculately kept, staff are so friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant is exceptional. We stayed in the Armonia Suites which were fantastic each having either balcony or terrace set around an exclusive pool with bar and 2 allocated sunbeds per room. This hotel certainly deserves its 5 star rating. We can't wait to go back!

We had a magical holiday at ACROTEL Athena Pallas!
The hotel and grounds are beautifully laid out, and across the (quiet) road from the beach. We stayed in the Armonia suites which have their own pool and bar, and was a tranquil retreat after a day of exploring the area.

We also had an amazing dinner at the private terrace in the Lemoni restaurant. Massive thanks to Irini for organising this amazing evening, and for Michael and the Lemoni team for an outstanding dinner.
We couldn't recommend ACROTEL Athena Pallas more, and are already looking forward to our next stay. Thank you to all the kind and helpful team at the resort.

We spent five days here recently for a quick break and wedding. From the minute we entered, the reception manager Despina greeted us with a broad smile and made us feel welcome there and then. We were offered a 'welcome' refreshment too. The hotel complex is very large.

The grounds are maintained to impeccable standards.
The room was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN and had air conditioning which you can adjust. The bathroom was to die for and the spare wash basin/wc room was an immensely handy amenity, specially as we prepared to attend the wedding. EVERYBODY from the cleaners up to management was incredibly polite and you received a smile and 'yeia sas !' from everyone every morning. They simply could not do enough for us. The 'Lemoni' restaurant was managed by Yianni and Tariel - the pair of them absolute gentlemen - Tariel should have his own chat show on TV - he is a star ! Full of life, welcoming, polite - professional and well presented. THE FOOD - FIRST CLASS - QUALITY AND QUANTITY.
GREEK SALAD ! NOT just a plate full of 'prasinada' - greenery for rabbits like most restaurants here in the UK serve - this is a PROPER salad with tomatoes TO DIE FOR ! Greek tomatoes that you can smell half a mile away to open your appetite AND TASTE DIVINE !
The younger members of staff who mixed duties between pool bar, breakfast and the restaurants were genuine diamonds - they ran around ensuring your every need was met. Young Anastasia was there for us every day with a beaming smile and 'Yeia sas !' to ensure we had what we needed. The little mini market there was well handy. A charming Greek lady called 'Chrisa' greeted us most mornings - she was a delight - a beaming smile polite and helpful. There was another lady there when Chrisa was not on duty (wasn't Greek) - sadly I have to say she was the exact antithesis of Chrisa : she could be abrupt, impatient and verging on the disrespectful to customers. She was the only blip at this hotel so we just timed it and avoided her. Everything else was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. The breakfast was TO DIE FOR - THEY HAD EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE !!
God bless everyone at this hotel - they are diamonds all of them. Stunning scenery - spotless pool - we will be going back soon I pray. Tariel - YOU ARE A TRUE GENTLEMAN - God bless you for your impeccable service - Manager Yianni - another first class professional gentleman ; chef Yianni - what a character ! Excellent chef - knows it all - delicious food.
Young Anastasia - full of life - keep smiling - keep dancing !
I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Greece should be very proud of this place.

Great staff, lovely facilities and a lovely location.
Visited on a recent wedding trip and it was a great location.
Rooms were lovely and comfortable and the prices of drinks on site were reasonable.

There isn't a lot locally so you will need to use a taxi or have a car to get around.

I found the same luxurious aristocratic building located on the shores of the Aegean Sea.

Here I drank the best Frappe from Sithonia,probably!

Well what can I say city green hotel was lovely clean tidy and the staff were amazing, thanks to all the staff who work really hard to keep everyone happy , Had a fantastic 10 days can not recommend this hotel enough. Staff made our visit amazing. Bedroom very small for two people and balcony makes me claustrophobic it is so tiny
Had a cockroach in a towel we were given and it nearly gave my mum a heart attack!
Floor was dirty when we arrived things were sticking to my feet and the cleaner has only been in once to make the beds!
I’m not a really fussy person but this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and yes we did complain but it didn’t get us anywhere and yes I looked at the reviews before I booked!

Only had 2 things to moan about..THE DRINKS.. not a big drinker myself, but the soft drinks, the Coke, never tasted anything so horrible in all my years of going AI, ended up buying a bottle from the supermarket, and just had ice from the bar.My 2nd moan, was that there is not enough seats, to enjoy an evening drink at the bar, I am too old to be lying on the sun beds having a drink, so ended up going out most evenings,other than that, had a great holiday, but we won’t be returning, as I feel the hotel was manly for younger people, at ages 58 and 62, our days of canoodling in the pool are over !!
