Olympic Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We didn't have breakfast or dinner but we did get room service one evening (dessert) which was quick and efficient. The hotel is decorated very nicely and the staff are very on the ball and friendly. Our room was ready at 2pm (which came as a relief since we were so exhausted from travelling). We were in what I believe is called the Silver room and wow, it was stunning! We had a view of the street but it was nice and quiet. The only issue I had with this hotel was the slow cleaning services. We came back at 10pm from a trip and our room was barely cleaned. Just bins changed and bedsheets and new towels. No toilet paper etc. Other than that, a nice stay.

Me and my wife booked this hotel for a 3 night getaway. I have seen good reviews but based on my time here i struggle to recommend. We stayed in a bronze room in B tower. I higher recommend you upgrade if choosing this hotel. Location wise was perfect. We got a 48 unlimited travel ($15 Euro) using the metro, trams and buses. The metro station was a 2minute walk around the corner. We found this was far cheaper than any other mode of transport. The metro also had links to the main railway to get to Schipol airport. The metro took around 15-20 minutes to get to Amsterdam Central. Pros: The BED wow was mega comfy. Prob the best sleep i have ever had in a hotel. The shower was mega nice and the towels were perfect. Location was perfect. Bike hire available. Staff were all polite. Cons: We deliberately booked here as it was a hotel that on the face of it didn't have twin beds for a double. However when we entered our double was two single beds together. Bike hire was so expensive £20 euro a day. I'm not saying i wouldn't return here because location was amazing, the bed was unreal. However the view and the room just lacked alot. I would return if the price was right for a higher spec room and as high as possible in tower A.
