The beds and pillows were amazing.
Staff very friendly and accommodating. Provided us with a room to use as our flight was late at night free of charge. The maro kids club was superb. Entertainment from
morning to evening. The Aladdin and magician was excellent even for the adults.

My fiance and I stayed at the Tirena for a week in late September 2024. We both thought it was a lovely hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very polite and friendly. We booked a classic room without balcony. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection of cooked and continental options. I particularly liked that there were salad items available.
We booked an excursion to Montenegro through the hotel concierge which was quick and easy, certainly easier than if we had tried to book it ourselves.
We didn't have any problem getting a sunlounger at the pool. There was one morning of our stay where there was heavy rain and thunder so we used the indoor pool at the Lacroma hotel instead. It was a nice touch to have access to their fitness and spa facilities.
We liked the location of the hotel as it was only 10 minutes on the bus from the old town. It was near to the hustle and bustle while still being quiet and relaxing. We caught the number 6 bus from the stop a short walk from the hotel. Our bus travel was free as we bought the Dubrovnik pass. This turned out to be great value as it also got us into attractions.
This was our first time in Croatia and in Dubrovnik. It's a beautiful place and we would love to visit again. We would happily come back to the Tirena as we really enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel. Particularly enjoyed the Oliva grill beside the pool. Mario was fantastic with our daughter and always made sure we had everything we needed. The pool is lovely and clean, there were always available sun beds and the bus was easy to get into Dubrovnik old town. Great spot!Great hotel. Particularly enjoyed the Oliva grill beside the pool. 4 night stay in Dubrovnik, we decided to stay at the Valamar Tirena and wasn't disappointed, from the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the hotel is wonderfully clean the pool area is so relaxing with plenty of beds, cabanas, and swinging chairs.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic with a huge selection of hot and cold options. They also cater really well for children with a wide range of food , jucies etc.
They had live music every evening if you want to relax with a drink. It is also the last stop on the number 6 bus route, so you cant get lost !

Friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel was spotlessly clean with spacious well equipped rooms. Good location only 3 mins walk from beaches and 15 mins walk from centre of town. Good hotel but not worth of 4 stars. I have never seen such a small variates of cooked dishes on breakfast. We stayed for 5 nights and all the time just scrambled eggs and bacon. Everything about this hotel is perfect. This is a small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who have the knowledge and contacts you do not normally experience in hotels. In addition to this, the hotel is located outside the hectic part of the town — 5-to-6 minutes distance formEverything about this hotel is perfect. This is a small hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who have the knowledge and contacts you do not normally experience in hotels. In addition to this, the hotel is located outside the hectic part of the town — 5-to-6 minutes distance form the beach —, and is perfectly located if you are traveling by car, because you can easily get out of the town — towards Split or Dubrovnik — and avoid standing in long queues through towns one-way streets. They offer car park completely free of charge, which is a rarity in the world of hotels, and that's a big advantage. We also saw options for electrical cars! An exceptionally good selection for breakfast. We opted out of the dinner scheme because we prefer to dine out and the staff were very helpful in giving tips where we could enjoy good local food - but we saw many of the hotel guests stay for dinner so we assume their food is delicious too. We stayed in one of the central room on the first floor with superb view of the sea and in the horizon the island of Hvar. The room was comfortable and very clean, and so was the balcony. The mini fridge was extraordinarily filled with treats like chocolate, alcohol, pop and snack.

Drazen and his wife are the most welcoming hosts you can imagine. They offer wonderful accommodations (we got a huge two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with air conditioning). The apartment was very comfortable as were the beds. Breakfast was delicious and fun. We learned much about Zagreb and Croatia asDrazen and his wife are the most welcoming hosts you can imagine. Very friendly and cosy atmosphere! The room is cosy and has a good location for public transport. There are many good things about this hotel, it’s comfortable, clean, modern, many choices on the included breakfast including eggs to order, the A/C is cold, the mini bar complimentary, and on the lower side of price for this city. But the best thing is the staff!!!

I have stayed in about forty hotels in the last six months and the staff here is as helpful and friendly as any.
I arrived late at night after traveling for almost two days without sleep and about at the end of my rope. Nic checked me in, found me a sandwich, as I had not eaten, was so welcoming. I had a great first impression.
During my stay Arnes helped me a dozen times. Understand the bus lines, recommending food and things to see. Zan did the same each morning as I headed out. I hope their management understands how far this goes with foreign tourists out of their comfort zone. The rest of the staff, kitchen, housekeeping were also good I just didn’t get any names. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I would tell other travelers that the location is about a 20 min bus ride to city center. This is not a big problem as the number 1 bus stops right in front of the hotel and only cost 1.30 euros. This is not a property you can walk to town, in spite of Ljubljana being a relatively small city.

We stayed here for our first visit to Slovenia and this place was very impressive overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful - we were given a map of the city and information about the buses on arrival which was very useful to get us started on our trip.We stayed here for our first visit to Slovenia and this place was very impressive overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful - we were given a map of the city and information about the buses on arrival which was very useful to get us started on our trip. The room was very comfortable, the bed was roomy and the mattress was the perfect firmness. The bathroom was nice and modern and the shower was very powerful. The aircon was a bit weak and could do with upgrading, but we weren't too hot while we were staying there. The bar area was very nice to chill and have some drinks and the service was always prompt. We hadn't realised prior to booking that the hotel did not serve evening meals, but this was not too much of an issue as we ordered take out using the Wolt app and went out for meals in the city. The breakfast selection was outstanding and we really enjoyed the mini pastries and the fresh coffee. There is also a Lidl right next to the hotel which was very handy for snacks and toiletries if needed. The bus into the city was just outside the hotel and was very cheap (just €1.30 into the city centre) and only took around 15 minutues. It was a great way to see the area and they ran every 20 mins or so. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others. A big thank you to all of the hotel staff who made us feel very welcome and made our trip very smooth.

We felt like queens in hotel Nox. The rooms are specious and have everything you might dream about. Towels, sheets are great quality such as everything in the hotel. We had a few issues with our room such as marks on the wall in the bedroom and what looked like damp marks on the ceiling in the bathroom and also the skirting board was coming away. We brought this to the attention of the hotel manager who was extremely helpful and tried to rectify the issues. He did offer us another room but they were fully booked and it would mean us moving our unpacked clothes around. The manager offered us a free meal in the onsite restaurant as compensation. We took the offer and the meal was lovely albeit very big portions. It was a good stay apart from the issues.

Just spent 3 wonderful days in Venice ! We stayed in the the Plaza Park hotel in Mestre which is in the perfect location opposite Mestre Train Station and only 7 mins into Venice and not expensive to travel (5euro return) The hotel itself is very clean , friendly helpfulJust spent 3 wonderful days in Venice ! We stayed in the the Plaza Park hotel in Mestre which is in the perfect location opposite Mestre Train Station and only 7 mins into Venice and not expensive to travel (5euro return) The hotel itself is very clean , friendly helpful staff and breakfast is also very good to set you up for your many walks exploring Venice itself. Venice itself surpassed our expectations with so many places to see and experience. It really is a stunning place to visit.
