11 Nights Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi & Chiang Mai Or Koh Samui Vacation W/Air

Stayed here for 4 nights in the month of June 2024, Location is around 10-15 minutes away from Patong beach or bangla walking street. Hotel offers multiple pick up and drop services to the main town , however advance booking is required for the same. We did not opt for it. We hired scooter from Ta , the tour operator right next to main lobby @ 1000 baht for 4 days and we really enjoyed our rides ( best and easiest and cheapest way ). Wanted to give 5 star ratings to this hotel , however they messed up with my plan to surprise my wife on her birthday which was on 17th June , to provide with flower deco and birthday cake which they provided on the very same day of arrival which was on 15th June ( absolutely disappointing ) , and yes I did not take their cake as it was useless on that day for us. I reminded them again on 17th to provide me with cake to which they said okay and never returned back , neither did I bother them again as it was already ruined. Coming back to my review about the hotel. The hotel is huge and has 9 buildings in total. We stayed at building 6 which was pretty close to lobby , and other pools and never bothered to call for buggy services even on the date of check out. They have multiple pools with pool bars , jungle pool was my personal favorite , they have kids pool with multiple slides , and other things to play with. Staff try their level best to keep the pool clean but since they are surrounded by lush green they often get dirty. Across the road is the beach which is clean enough but rough for swim, you will not find any good restaurants at walking distance , they have 7/11 one on right and 2 on left , however the distance is between 300 to 400 mtrs which get really tiring due to heat. Hotel is located on kalim bay. Their morning breakfast spread is huge and had multiple options to select from. We did not try their ala-carte menu. They have roof top bar which opens at 5pm and views from above are mind blowing specially if you sit there for sundowner. We got voucher for 1+1 free drink and I enjoyed sipping on LIT while watching sunset. Overall if you wish to stay in Phuket on a quitter side this is the place for you.

We absolutely loved our stay here. We upgraded to a club room which was gorgeous. All the staff where really friendly and very helpful. The girls in the club lounge where a credit to the hotel nothing too much trouble. The grounds are amazing and very well kept. We saw loads of wildlife in the grounds. The big pool was amazing. We had a late pick up the day we left and where told to enjoy the hotel and we could shower in the gym. We went to the club lounge which shuts at 8. We left the room only to be ushered back by both girls on reception telling us to stay cool and they would let us know when our pick up arrived. This was a lively touch. We are hoping to return.

We had a good stay at Dusit Thani primarily because the staff were amazing! The lady in the breakfast room Hah was always so friendly and obliging! Laura at the front desk checked us in and was very polite and helpful. All of the golf cart drivers were so hardworking and always had a smile. I had a lovely massage by Pim at the spa. However, the resort itself can do better.. the rooms were not terribly clean, there were ants the very first night we checked in. Also the lights are extremely small and dim, I don’t know if they were going for the romantic vibe but they could easily add a nice big floor lamp or two in each room. Also we could not find enough decent vegetarian options at the restaurants, so we had to take a taxi to eat in town every night. I’d go back only for the staff who were always smiling and obliging!

As first time visitors to Ko Samui we couldn’t have chosen a better resort for our holiday of 10 nights. The pick up from the Koh Samui airport and check in was a breeze with helpful and welcoming staff. We chose a pool view room in the Thai Village Wing. The room was spacious, had a very comfortable king size bed and a delightful private verandah overlooking one of the two pools. To access reception, breakfast/dining and the main pool you needed to cross the road, this was a bit of theatre with an attendant on duty to flag the traffic to a stop, always with a smile. The staff were a delight, to be greeted by Penn each morning for breakfast was so nice, felt like we had been going there for years. The breakfast selection is huge and good quality food and coffee. Great to relax in and by the pool in comfortable sun lounges under red umbrellas overlooking either the pool or the beach. The “buy one/get one” cocktails each day a great way to sample something different. Neung was a dynamo with this poolside service, nothing was any trouble. We went out mostly for dinner but when we ate at the resort it was excellent, particularly the hamburger if you want a change from the Thai or Indian cuisine. There’s a lot of local food choices nearby for e.g. Your Place on the beach and The Natien a few minutes walk away. A taxi drive away is the fabulous The Cliff Restaurant. Fisherman’s Wharf is well worth a visit for the market, including food stalls and very cheap cocktails. Highly recommend this resort for a very restful holiday. There’s plenty of activities on offer for those that want more action,

Another fabulous holiday at the Amari Koh Samui is drawing to a close. We love this resort with its Thai Village feel and it’s beautifully maintained gardens. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with everything we need to make our stay enjoyable and totally relaxing. Our special thanks to all of the wonderful staff who look after us so well - from the front desk, to the traffic guards who help us safely across the road, to housekeeping and to the catering staff in the Amaya bar. It is such a joy to be greeted by them and welcomed each day by their beautiful smiles. Our breakfasts are a special treat with the amazing range of foods available. Each day we arrive to find that Penn has arranged a table for our party and organised our tea and coffee selections. She is wonderful at predicting and assisting with our every need. We are also appreciative of the attention and hard work done by Nuong, Takky and the others to make our stay special. So thank you Amari staff - it’s been another fabulous holiday in what we now call ‘our second home’. See you next year.

Another great stay at Amari Koh Samui! From check in the staff are so warm and welcoming and always a smile for you. The pool staff are great! especially Noong who is such a dedicated worker and spots everything and doesn’t stop. The managers and staff at the pool bar and restaurant are amazing and run a tight ship! A special mention to Takky, Prishat, Honey, Jimmy and K! They all do a great job. Another special mention has to be for Penn! She is such an asset to Amari and she is just the best at her job, she has a great eye for detail and remembers everything your likes and dislikes. We are repeat guests at Amari like so many other guests and I believe that’s all down to the wonderful staff, keep up the good work!!

Our 15th visit, home away from home. Resort isThai village style, right on beach with two swimming pools catering for adults and children, soon to be three, spread over the resort. Great variety of accommodation, very clean and comfortable room, great air conditioning too. The staff are absolutely fantastic, could not be more attentive or obliging. Penn in particular, Noung and Takky have welcomed us back each year like family. Front office and road crossing supervisors do a wonderful job. The breakfast offers just about everything you could wish for and the Amaya Restaurant and Bar offer great food and daily happy hour cocktail with buy one get one free! The gardens are beautifully kept with frangipani trees laden with blooms in June. Perfectly situated on Chaweng Beach, there are also many beach bars and restaurants either side you can visit. Cannot recommend Amari Koh Samui highly enough. We love it!
