We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff was friendly upon arrival and the room was really nice. The hotel is in the perfect location, close walking distance to everything (restaurants, historical attractions, shops, water front), but positioned perfectly a few roads over from all of the busy areasWe really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location, close walking distance to everything (restaurants, historical attractions, shops, water front), but positioned perfectly a few roads over from all of the busy areas and noise. The hotel has a restaurant on one side and a lounge with a bar on the other side. While we didn't make use of these much because we wanted to get out and explore each day, both appeared to be nice, clean and offer a good variety of things on their menus. Overall, the hotel was very modern, clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in June 2024. It is in a fantastic location right in the middle of the tourist area. She also informed us that as we had an early flight when we were leaving, she would order us a taxi and a breakfast box.
The room was a decent size and very clean. The shower was powerful, and it had shampoo and shower gel for us to use. There was port and pastries in reception for you to have at any time. We also opted for the breakfast, which was OK, though I’m not the best with saveloys! but there was plenty of it.
Our time in Lisbon was wonderful and was definitely helped by the delightful staff at this hotel.

What a fantastic base for our short break in Lisbon!! A lovely hotel in a very central location in Lisbon. Reception staff & breakfast ladies were exceptional, nothing too much trouble & always made to feel welcome. We tried the always empty bar but as soon as we sat down the bartender disappeared & didn’t return so we gave up, no wonder no customers!!! Plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance along with all transport links - metro from airport took 30 mins then 5 mins walk to hotel. We had a Lisboa card which was really handy & would definitely recommend, along with this hotel

Our room had a double aspect view and was on the second floor, coffee and bottled water were supplied and was very welcoming.
Breakfast each day was taken in the attached restaurant and was very good, a plentiful supply of hot food, fresh fruit, pastries, breads, juices and bottled water on a lovely buffet setup. The coffee is wonderful!
All the staff work incredibly hard to ensure that you enjoy the stay and we did.
Unfortunately I left behind a very new shirt by accident, the staff contacted me and made arrangements to have it forwarded to me by post.
Honest and helpful.

Just spent a great week at the Quinta da Penha de Franca Mar. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and we had a Junior Suite which overlooked the swimming pool with great views over the sea. Hotel is ideal situated for walking along the seafront to the centre of Funchal.

Basically I liked the hotel. The interieur is not the newest but okay. Especially the breakfast was good. I had some ants in my room but it did not bother me much. The garden setting is nice. Some where friendly, some where okay and some where not helpful at all. What really pissed me off at the end of the stay was the following incident: The room cleaning had already been done. Roughly 45 minutes after that I was in my room, totally naked and preparing for the rest of the day. All lighting in my room was on when the cleaning staff opened the door. Despite me shouting (!) to stay out and despite the fact that you could see and hear that the guest was present, cleaning staff entered the room invading my privacy. I consider this as an absolute no-go. It’s a basic rule in any hotel on this planet that hotel staff does not enter the room if the guest is present. And it does not matter which language you hear or understand.

Disco until 2 in the morning, a lot of noise and you can't sleep. The company that manages it is external to the hotel and they have no control over the situation.

Modern hotel, friendly staff, conveniently located, old town within walking distance. Unfortunately, expensive rooms with a terrace are not recommended; with the noise, the bass from the DJ and the heavily drunk audience from the hotel's rooftop bar, it's unthinkable until well after midnight. Terrace and view very nice, rooms very clean, neighboring rooftop bar an imposition - at least for normal tourists who want to see the city during the day, air conditioning is a disaster, regardless of the setting you only have the choice between oven or freezer.

We stayed in an apartment room. It was fairly clean. Very lumpy pillows. A great location right in Ponta Delgada. I would grade this more as a European 3* but it still offered good value considering it's location and standard of accommodation. We had to move rooms after a few days as our original room (502) faced some outlets that omitted a nasty smell of an evening which meant we could not sit out on the balcony - reception staff speak great English and thankfully managed to swap to new room. The pools (indoor and outdoor), steam room and sauna were great but jacuzzi needs servicing as only a couple of jets actually work and was very murky. Spa treatments very reasonable and very good.
(Read a review saying you need to bring your own towels to use pools - this is not true, you can obtain pool towels from reception for EUR10 deposit.)
Didn't use restaurant but bar staff were great and food was good (chips are crisps, not fries though!)
Kitchenette is exactly that, two hobs, combi microwave and kettle - cooking a family meal for 5 was a challenge but doable with a camping style outlook!
All in all a great budget friendly base for exploring the island or taking boat trips and being able to semi self cater.

We chose Hotel Antillia for it's location and mostly because of the parking on site, and we were very well surprised and satisfied with our stay. The hotel is very spacious, the room was big and also the bathroom, plenty of space! The staff was always very nice to us, and went out of their way to give us tips and try to help us with our trip plans.
The breakfast was varied and very tasty. There was a pool, that we did not have time to use, and also a spa on site. The fact that we always managed to park our rental car on site in the hotel was a big plus. Ponta Delgada's streets are very narrow and parking can be a hassle, so we were always reassured about the rental parked in the garage. And at no extra cost!
The city center can be reached by a 10 minute walk, as well as the sea front. Tha area was very quiet, we slept very well. Will stay again when we return!

The bed is firm, when you walk in you notice a small pillow positioned on the bed, the normal pillows are located in the closet. The pillows are not great quality.

If you plan to swim at their pool you need to bring your own towel, we found this very strange. You need to bring a towel with you on this trip anyway if you plan to go to the hot springs/beach.
The apartment had all of what we needed to make a nice breakfast.
The AC worked well but oddly. One degree celsius difference was 10 degrees f different.
Good location, 5 minute walk to the fruit/veg market.
There is free parking but it is tight maneuvering in and out of the garage.

My husband and I spent a week here at the end of May.
The hotel is set back behind a row of houses and accessed by a narrow alley.
The reception staff gave us a very friendly welcome and always spoke.
We had a spacious one bed apartment with a small kitchenette.

The kitchenette had sufficient utensils to cook breakfast or a light lunch, but unfortunately no fish slice, so difficult to fry eggs !
The bed was comfy, the curtains kept the light out, the air-con worked well.
We did not use the pool, possibly a bit chilly.
We also did not use the restaurant, but did use the bar. We thought it was more expensive than local bars, but then aren't most hotels like this.
Hotel is nicely situated, 10 mins to city centre, 5 mins to harbour restaurants.
Ask for a higher floor to get a lovely view out over the sea.
Only downside was the changeable weather, don't leave home without a raincoat !!
Would definitely recommend.

From the A22, take exit no. 5 towards Portimão and follow the signs for Praia da Rocha. When you reach Praia da Rocha , take the 3rd exit at the Rotunda dos 3 Castelos (Fonte) towards Av. das Comunidades Lusíadas. At the end of the road, turn right at the Rotunda da Marina and go up Estrada da Rocha, taking the 1st right towards Rua António Feu. Go around the hotel, turn left onto Av. Tomás Cabreira and you will find our entrance, where you can park briefly to unload your luggage and check in. You can obtain information at the reception of the Jupiter Algarve Hotel about using the garage (additional cost), as well as other paid and/or free public parking options in the vicinity .

Just had a wonderful stay at the Jupiter Algarve with the family (14 years old to 83).

Food is out of this world, with everything you could ever want! Efficient food service, especially Antonio who greets with a friendly smile every time.
*Evening musical entertainment meant we had no reason to leave the hotel, although plenty to do in the area.
*Only issues had were pool on the smaller side, but beach just down the steps, and no air con in gym meant early morning workouts before it got too hot. A bit noisy in the evenings but to be expected where there are people!

Jupiter Algarveis a very good Hotel, and perfect location !
A small walk away from the beach, and at the beginning of the main street which is full of good restaurants and pubs.
The hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and the breakfast is great.

A small walk away from the beach, and at the beginning of the main street which is full of good restaurants and pubs.
The hotel is very clean, staff are friendly and the breakfast is great.
