Perfect base for exploring Athens

We had a very enjoyable stay here. We stayed in one of the standard studios which was very spacious, plenty of storage and room and a very comfortable bed! Basic kitchenette with breakfast bar and some basic utensils which was plenty for our short stay. Great location in the livelyWe had a very enjoyable stay here. Great location in the lively neighbourhood Psyrri but the road the hotel is on was fairly quiet at night. A local bakery just up the road which sells delicious sandwiches and cakes, minutes walk from an a array of bars and restaurants and a short walk to the tube station and some local attractions. A lovely breakfast selection and very friendly staff.
Rooftop terrace was closed unfortunately when we were there which was a shame. Not a hotel specific issue but worth knowing, there were no supermarkets nearby which maybe limited how much we actually used our kitchenette. There were a few minimarkets that mainly sold alcohol nearby but no food you could cook or fruit etc (There may be one we didn’t know about or further afield). Some of the restaurants in the area however are very reasonably priced so didn’t bother us too much.
Despite this it was a great hotel and location for exploring Athens and would definitely stay here again!

All excellent, small but well-equipped kitchen area in a huge room large bed, comfortable.

Quiet at night even though minutes from Monastiraki Square, which is the heart of the old city.

Last minute break in Athens , exceeded expectations.

This was a great location, ideal for bars and restaurants , very safe at night . Hotel rooms had kitchen area if you wanted to eat in ( many restaurants did takeout) Rooms are good size, decent showers and toiletries, very clean, linen changed regularly. All the staff were friendly and helpful .
A couple of rooms have view of Acropolis, we had 406 stunning view !
This is an honest opinion, great value, great stay!
* Lots of graffiti in area , initially made us wary but this is everywhere in Athens . Would definitely recommend this hotel .

Excellent location with all the cafes and bars Psyrri at your doorstep. Easy walk to Acropolis and other areas. Location reasonably quiet and rooms have a modern fitout. Great hotel on the doorstep of all the bars and restaurants!

Great hotel! We had a junior suite which was large with lovely modern decor, air con and the bed was really comfy. Rooms were spotlessly clean. We also had a balcony, which was nice, though we did have to drag chairs out to be able to sit down and enjoyGreat hotel! Location for us was spot on, as we were on the doorstep of all the great bars and restaurants in Psirri and Thisseo, noise wasn’t too much of a problem either, given our location. There was lots of choice for breakfast, though would recommend getting there before 10 as they don’t replenish! Staff were all professional though unlike other places we’ve stayed, they didn’t proactively offer up any information on the area, how to get about, hints and tips, so you do need to ask.
Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel. Just a few small recommendations above would increase my rating to a 5!,

Stayed with family and friends and absolutely loved this place. Clean rooms, super friendly staff and the hotel was in the perfect location adjacent to the Marketplace. Food was very good at Sabor but the breakfast buffet needs some work. We loved Zorba’s for breakfastStayed with family and friends and absolutely loved this place. We loved Zorba’s for breakfast just a short walk away. Pools are very nice and the Flying Fish restaurant is amazing. Bones was fun for happy hour drinks and you can’t beat that view. Huge shout out to VanDyke at the Sabor bar for sharing stories and the history of the island. He is a HUGE asset to the staff. Just a great guy and so kind and human. I’d go back in a minute just to sit at his bar. Highly recommend and you can’t beat the room rate. Great value!

This is a nice hotel with a very pleasant staff and adjacent to a small tourist village with some nice restaurants. The rooms were newly done since the terrible hurricane that decimated Freeport. They were clean, spacious, nicely laid out and with a lovely view from the balcony. The rooms were newly done since the terrible hurricane that decimated Freeport. They were clean, spacious, nicely laid out and with a lovely view from the balcony. The furnishings are comfortable utilitarian and showed little sign of wear and tear. The bathroom was well lit, nice sized and with a shower that was a cinch to turn on and use. Bones Bar has great beer. We recommend the locally brewed Bones Ale. The breakfast buffet is a bit disappointing without fruit on 2 days and never any yogurt. Dinner at Sabor was excellent as they cooked our fresh catch perfectly. (Why the restaurants throughout the island refuse to serve tap water is shrouded in mystery. Apparently there was some salt intrusion but this is now corrected. Could this be a ploy to improve the bottom line).
This hotel is close to being 4 stars But to achieve a better rating I would ask for cleaner elevators, utensils and dish towels and some kitchen soap for the small kitchenette. A better buffet breakfast would also help.
We look forward to visit again next year with these improvements in mind.

Pelican Bay Hotel is the Best

3 seniors visited end of April. We loved staying in the suites. Balconies overlooking the canal, very comfortable for a 7 night stay. Entire facility was very clean & well cared for. Loved the grounds, ferry to Taino Beach, 3 pools, & location with all3 seniors visited end of April. We loved staying in the suites. Balconies overlooking the canal, very comfortable for a 7 night stay. Entire facility was very clean & well cared for. Loved the grounds, ferry to Taino Beach, 3 pools, & location with all the nearby attractions. Sabor was great. All the staff from housekeeping, lobby staff, restaurant staff & grounds keepers were so nice, welcoming & helpful. Side note loved the fragrance in the lobby! Well done! If you need transportation we highly recommend 3B's Taxi & Tours.

The Wife and I just spent several days at Pelican Bay Hotel April 2nd through April 7th 2024 . Hotel is centrally located able to visit Licayan Market place and plan several excursions . We enjoyed use of the onsite swimming pools daily and I would recommend that anyone visit check out the onsite aquarium setup by Sabor restaurant to attract local tropical fish it is outstanding plus enjoyed the company of the local lizards by the pool daily

Room was average, bed was a beauty rest so nice & comfy, pillows are very small but comfy. Bathroom needs more shelves in shower. But was nice walk in. AC was very noisy but kept the room comfy. Aelia Luxury Suites is a small boutique hotel in the old village of Karterados, and it has just 30 suites. It is almost exactly in the centre of the island, making it fairly quick to reach almost anywhere.
Each suite is inspired by the traditional style of the island, with chic furnishings and views across the swimming pool. You'll get daily buffet breakfast served on a terrace by the pool, plus dinner at the hotel's Mediterranean restaurant.
Karterados village offers a more authentic, cultural experience than the big resorts on the southern coast, with lots of family-owned restaurants, winding streets filled with bougainvillea, and a much-loved traditional Greek bakery that sells fresh bread, savoury pastries, and sweet treats.
You can walk to Fira in 25 minutes, so you could wander down every day if you feel like it (or hop in a taxi, which takes just five minutes). A free shuttle runs to the capital in the evenings, so you can watch the famous sunset. There's also a foot path that leads down to Exo Gialos, a remote black-sand beach with impressive basalt rock formations. This is a slightly longer 40-minute walk, and is best reached in a taxi, which takes under 10 minutes.

This is a lovely family owned business. We were recommended the Aelia by a family member. Everything was perfect. The organisation was superb from picking us up at the airport to making sure we caught our ferry from the sea port at the right time. All theThis is a lovely family owned business. They really do go out of their way to make sure your stay is stress free. Now I know why my brother and his family stay here every time they are in Santorini. I would definitely stay here again and would fully recommend to anyone looking for well placed accommodation to stay at.

Came with my family to this hotel, everything was very nice, delicious food, beautiful views, reached the sea in 15 minutes, the capital is close by

It’s a nice hotel. The rooms are quite big and they are clean. There is a small pool and several jacuzzis you can use. The staff is kind and helpful. We only stayed for one night so we did not experience all hotel amenities. The few things we had toIt’s a nice hotel. The rooms are quite big and they are clean. There is a small pool and several jacuzzis you can use. The staff is kind and helpful. We only stayed for one night so we did not experience all hotel amenities. The few things we had to eat when we arrived in the evening and for lunch the next day were good. Breakfast choice was fine too. You will need a car if you plan to visit around because it’s a bit far out. Although the closest village remains within walking distance.

Wonderful weeks holiday with friendly staff

The accommodation was clean and very modern with great air conditioning. The cleaners came in every day and brought fresh towels.
All the staff could not do enough for you, happy to recommend places to visit and extremely friendly.
